If you have filed an Aadhar Card Update Request and need to know the status of the same then here’s how to do it. It will take normally a period of three months for your Adhar card to be updated however, you can check you adhar status; either online of offline. Adhar status check is much easier now with the UIDAI portal ready at your service. There is no need to visit your nearest Adhar card centre and this important task can be carried out from the comfort of your home.
Adhar Status Check Online:
You can check the status of your Aadhar Card Update Request by following these 3 simple steps online:
Step 1: Visit the SSUP Portal
The first step to checking the status of your Aadhar is to visit the Adhar Status Check portal. Click here to visit the portal directly, which will help you with your Adhar Status Check.
Step 2: Enter the Details Asked
Enter your Adhar number and the URN. URN stands for “Update Request Number” which is generated when you apply for your Adhar update. Enter both the details and recheck for any errors.
Step 3: Submit to Get Status!
That is it! You’re almost there; once you have entered the details correctly, click on the “Get Status” button below. As soon as you do this, your Adhar status will be displayed on the screen.

Only the following details can be checked for update in online mode, these are:
- Mobile Number
However, if you wish to change any other details apart from the ones mentioned above, you must do that in offline mode as described below.
Adhar Status Check in Offline Mode
- In order to check Aadhar status offline, a form has to be downloaded. Click here to get this form in PDF format.
- Once the form opens, take a printout of the form and fill in the details asked. Make sure to put in all the details correctly and write in a neat handwriting.
- After filling the form, send it by post to the nearest Aadhar centre.
Thus if you can’t request the adhar status check online, you can do so in offline mode by downloading and filling the form. However, it is advised that you visit your nearby Aadhar centre to fill in the form at the centre itself.
