With lots of recent initiatives being introduced for Aadhar Card linking, here yet another development. Bihar faced some scams in university exams recently. Hence in the aftermath of these exam scams comes this new initiative.The Bihar School Examination Board is going to turn out to be the country’s first state board to facilitate Aadhar Card linking for students’ examination forms.

Aadhar Card linking – Why Bihar?
Bihar has recently witnessed a toppers’ scam. This and the recurrent scams before with regards to exams, the new initiative is introduced. So to further authenticate the whole process to steer clear of duplication or minimize frauds, Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has taken this plan of Aadhar Card Linking.
“While submitting examination forms, students will have to specify whether or not they have Aadhaar numbers.
Those who do, will have to mention it on their forms.
Students who do not have Aadhaar Cards are requested to apply for the same so that they can also benefit from the move,”
– BSEB chairman Anand Kishor.
Making Aadhar Card Linking Compulsory for Students
Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) seems to take a stand to minimize and eventually end the unprofessional conduct in exams. To that end, they are coming with this first of it’s kind arrangement which would connect the Aadhaar numbers with students’ examination forms. Counterfeiting of forms and related documents can be prevented by Aadhar Card Linking.
The decision was taken after Anand Kishor, the chairman of BSEB had a discussion with Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) DG Ajay Bhushan Pandey.
More on the Aadhaar Card Linking to Bihar Examination Forms
The initiative of Aadhar card linking will be put into practice from the BSEB’s compartmental exams. These exams are scheduled for November.
An exclusive domain will be provided for Aadhaar number on the examination form from 2017.
Here are some reasons why Aadhar Card Linking is the right thing for the Examination System in Bihar:

- For restraining scams in the exam.
